My Story...

Elisa is a contemporary textile artist based in the Lancashire countryside. It is from her bright and cheerful studio she draws on her standard sewing machine, moving the fabric under the needle to 'draw' onto the fabric with thread.  Her textile designs often incorporates watercolours & acrylic paint, as well as small pieces of appliqued fabric.

Inspired by her love of birds, animals, landscapes and buildings her ideas are brought to life using this wonderful sewing technique. Each piece is made using both new and vintage fabric sourced on her travels and reflect a lifelong passion for textiles, design, sewing and making.

As a young child, Elisa always loved being creative so it was an easy choice to study art at secondary school in the late 90s, walking away with an A* in the subject.  She went on to study art at college, where she explored a range of mediums but it was here she fell in love with textiles.  From there, her love turned into a passion. She has been sewing for over 20 years and creating free-motion designs for over 14 of those.  She has sold her creations in a number of places for over 10 years - online, in shops, galleries and at local art/artisan fairs.

Own the Original Art

Many don't realise that the designs for my collections begin as unique, one-of-a-kind textile art created with freehand machine embroidery, applique and sometimes watercolours and inks.

From time to time these are available to buy here.

Owning an original piece means owning the very beginning of the story that inspired my cards and prints.
